“May you experience each day as a sacred gift woven around the heart of wonder.” - John O’Donohue
Hearthwell Creative is a project of Megan Brenneman (she/her), an emerging fibre artist with a background in the choral arts. Megan grows and forages dye plants in her backyard and within the region to create colour on natural fibres such as locally grown wool, or ethically sourced or up-cycled cotton, linen, and silk. She endeavours to make something beautiful and useful from these materials, such as handwoven bookmarks and mug rugs, naturally dyed or printed scarves, and maybe someday, a quilt. Above all, Megan feels it is the creative process that brings the most wonder, joy, and meaning, allowing an ever-deepening connection with the land, with others, and with the inner landscape of one’s life.
